Dear GulfQuest Supporters—Current and Future:

We hope this finds you enjoying some cooler weather and recovering from the record heat we’ve been having here on the Gulf Coast.

For this month’s installment of our GulfChat series, we’re excited to have John Schneider, a retired Air Force-trained weather forecaster, and Jessica Chace from the National Oceanic Atmosphere Administration, discussing How Weather Works just in time for Hurricane Season.

Nearly forty works of art by twenty eight artists from the United States Coast Guard Art Program (COGAP) are now on view at GulfQuest through December. Our official grand opening event is set for September 16th, at 11 am. This event will feature a speaker from the Coast Guard, Coast Guard Recruiters, and a live search and rescue demonstration on the downtown waterfront, beginning at noon.

On September 23rd, we’ll be celebrating GulfQuest’s birthday with free dessert in the Galley from 11 am through 1 pm.

This event is sponsored by Cammie’s Old Dutch and The Pink Mixer Baking Co.

If you can’t make it to the birthday party, maybe you can stop by our booth at Pet Fest of The Gulf Coast. Pet Fest will be held at Medal of Honor Park on September 23rd from 10 am until 3 pm, and will feature several pet adoption organizations, vendors, kid’s activities, pet activities, demonstrations and more.

Sincerely,

The GulfQuest Team
